Now the last date for the vaccination of students is 30 November, the notification also ordered the students to complete their vaccination doses before this deadline. However, the government did not extend the dates for vaccination of the schools and colleges faculty members. All the teaching and non-teaching staff of schools and colleges of Punjab have to complete their vaccination courses by 30 September.

Earlier this month, due to the increase in Covid patients across the country, it was decided by the Provincial Education Department on the suggestion of the Health Department to start the vaccination campaign in all the educational institutes of Punjab and on  Monday, 27th September during a meeting held at NCOC, the government decided to start the vaccination drive in schools for all the students of age 12 and above.

According to Mr. Asad Umar, the purpose of this campaign is to vaccinate all the students that are older than 12 years against COVID-19 so that on-campus learning can continue in all the educational institutes without any risk of COVID-19.
