About the Federal Urdu University
The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences & Technology (FUUAST) enjoys the unique distinction of being the first ever university in Pakistan that aims at using Urdu as the main language of instruction and teaching.
The Federal Urdu University was established in 2002, under Ordinance No. CXIX of 2002 promulgated by the President of Pakistan.
The main campus is located in the capital city of Islamabad. However, Federal Urdu University also has two campuses established in Karachi. In total, the university boasts over 12000 students across all three of its campuses.
To impart education in Urdu Language as a medium is the basic objective of the Federal Urdu University, while simultaneously equipping students with English Language skills to compete with international expertise.
Another basic objective is to make available the modern and advanced education in Arts, Science and Technology, particularly Information Technology, to the people who cannot afford it.

How to Get Admission in FUUAST
Students who are interested in getting admission into the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences and Technology can do so by looking out for the open admission dates and submitting the complete application form. Admissions in FUUAST open twice a year, during the Fall semester and Spring Semester.
The Fall semester commences from September of each year, while the Spring semester is conducted from February of each year.
Apply for Admission
Intermediate students who are interested in admission can find the prospectus and online application form available on the official FUUAST website. Students must fill out the online application form with accurate and up to date information, and submit it before the deadline.
Along with the application form, intermediate students must also submit a deposit of 1500 as indicated on the fee voucher. The deposit must be made at the Askari Bank designated branch of each campus.
Students must also appear for an entry test. The details will be issued by the FUUAST. The syllabus is taken from the intermediate final exams syllabus, and students can find past papers and sample papers for exam preparation online.
The general eligibility requirements to gain admission in FUUAST is that candidates must possess the required Intermediate or Equivalent qualification with minimum 45% marks for Arts Faculty, Theology and Education and 50% marks for other Faculties from institutions recognized by the Federal Urdu University.

Once students have been officially enrolled in the university, they will be invited for an Orientation Day, which will help students become acquainted with the Federal Urdu University. Students will then join the academic session on the start date in September for Fall semester, or February for Spring semester.
