ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan invites faculty members of public and private sector universities and degree awarding institutions (DIAs) to submit research proposals focused on the transfer of university-developed technologies and products to the industry and commercial sector.

Deadline for project proposal submission is 19th November, 2021. Project proposals on prescribed application templates must be submitted via HEC online portal.

The Technology Transfer Support Fund (TTSF) is a key element of the Higher Education Development Project (HEDP) supported by the World Bank and implemented by HEC. TTSF is anticipated to support promising partnerships between academia and industry to facilitate the transfer of university-developed technological research to the industry and commercial sector.  TTSF will provide funds to selected institutions based on a competitive, peer-reviewed evaluation of proposals. The amount of funding for TTSF awards may range between 7.5-15 million with a maximum project duration of 2 years. 

As per the application eligibility, lead principal investigators (PIs) must be regular faculty members of public or private Higher Education Institutions (HEI) or hold a contract equivalent to the length of project duration and co-financing (including in-kind or cash contribution) by the industry partner is mandatory.
