ISLAMABAD: On Monday, 27th September during a meeting held at NCOC, the government decided to start the vaccination drive in schools for all the students of age 12 and above. The announcement was shared on twitter by Mr. Asad Umar, the head of NCOC.

He said that the Government of Pakistan will run a dedicated vaccination campaign in schools across the country. The purpose is to vaccinate all the students that are older than 12 years against COVID-19.
The decision was made after keeping in view the surge in COVID positive cases across the country. As of now, 1400 new active cases have been reported in Pakistan.
Therefore, in an effort to protect teens against the deadly virus and resume on-campus learning, the government has decided to take this action.
