Private school association rejects the decision of students promotion

ISLAMABAD:  All Pakistan Private Schools Federation President Kashif Mirza released a statement on Wednesday in which he opposed the decision taken at the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference about the promotion of class 10 and 12 students in the country.

He remarked that the orders given by the Federal Minister of Education, Shafqat Mehmood are unfair to the deserving students.

According to Kashif Mirza, this decision doesn’t do justice to some students as they prepare day and night for this examination.

President Kashif Mirza also rejected the decision to start the new academic year from August instead of  March.

Earlier on Monday, the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference was held to decide the future of matric and inter students.

Many important decisions regarding the next academic session, schedule of examination of A and O levels, and university exams schedule were discussed in the meeting.

In this meeting, it was decided that all the students of classes 10 and 12 would be promoted as it is difficult to hold the examination again due to the current covid situation. This decision was heavily criticized by the heads of schools and parents all across the country.
