PESHAWAR: According to the reports received, it is learnt on Wednesday that Education Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahram Khan Tarakai has announced that 15 schools are going to be opened in two districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The schools being opened are part of Smart School Education Program which is being initiated under HOPE’87 as the Memorandum of Understanding has been signed for it.

The minister has stated that these schools will consist of digital classrooms and the whole procedure of teaching and learning is going to be digitized for the students.
He further stated that, “The entire system including attendance, assessment, examinations and lectures will be digitized . Under the project digital lecturers of the syllabus of SNC will be developed. It is a pilot project at the initial stage. Later it will be extended to all the districts of the province.” The initiative is taken to boost digital learning platform to cope with fast paced world.
HOPE’87 is a programmatic approach which is focused on strengthening the resilience of communities through education, livelihood development, gender equality, capacity building and disaster preparedness.
Its objectives include promotion of youth education, job training and employment in Pakistan within the realms of development cooperation. Comprised are subjects such as school, job-related youth education and training, and the promotion and execution of youth employment projects and programs through public and private measures at local, regional, national and international levels.
Implementation of new ideas for career/work opportunities through the economy are also in the objectives of HOPE’87.
