Unvaccinated employees of educational institutions to face consequences

ATTOCK: On Thursday, during a meeting with representatives from the college association and private schools of Attock, deputy commissioner Attock Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh gave strict order to follow covid SOPs.

He said that the educational institutions that do not have Covid-19 vaccinated employees will face penalties. Unvaccinated teachers and staff are not permitted to access school grounds, and any unvaccinated staff discovered there may face consequences, including fines and cancellation of their registration.

Dr. Jawad Ellahi, Chief Executive District Health Authority, Ms. Marzia Saleem, Additional Deputy Commissioner for Planning, and office bearers from the schools association were also present in the meeting.

The government of Punjab has declared covid-19 vaccine mandatory for all private and public school instructors, staff members, and administration, Mr. Sheikh stated.

He further said “On May 29, the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) made Covid-19 vaccination mandatory for educational staff in order to ensure the safe continuation of the education sector”.

He recommended instructors and workers to get vaccinated as quickly as possible, as they were given plenty of time for it. Also it is for their own safety as well as the students, because there is a possibility of Covid-19 spreading through unvaccinated individuals, particularly instructors.
