The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is planning to introduce second shift classes around Government schools with the aim of providing students with better learning opportunities.
Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahram Khan Tarakai will be leading the meeting scheduled on Tuesday. It will discuss important issues that focus on initiating evening classes.
On Monday, an official of the Elementary and Secondary Education department stated that the classes will start around a hundred plus government schools spanning across the province. It will later be extended to other schools in segments.
The education department has set a goal of establishing second shift classes in 400 schools within the next three months.
By offering evening classes, he declared that the issue of overcrowding inside classrooms will be resolved and teachers will have time to focus on students.
According to the official, the government has allocated Rs110 million to take the initiative in settled districts and Rs35 million for merged tribal districts. Moreover, according to an official, the second shift would begin at 3:00 p.
The Elementary and Secondary Education Department KP has put forth a single uniform curriculum around KP which will be implemented at the Primary level from this academic year.
Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Shahram Khan Tarakai tweeted that a new Single National Curriculum (SNC) from classes 1 to 5 grade will start today. The syllabus will be implemented in the launching ceremony of CNC, chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The SNC, he said, has disabled the class system and will provide equal education to every child in the country. Shahram Khan Tarakai said that “Today I am glad and feeling proud that a uniform education system has been implemented in the province as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf manifesto.”
